Which cat flap does this collar work with?

It is made for the PetVent Microchip Cat Flap. The flap reads the chip as your cat approaches and lets only the registered cats in and out.

Why would I need an extra one?

The flap comes with a limited number of chips, so an extra collar lets one more cat use the same flap. It is also handy as a spare if a collar goes missing outdoors.

Does the chip need a battery or charging?

No. The chip tag is passive, so it needs no battery and no charging and keeps working year after year with no maintenance.

What is in the collar itself?

A black nylon strap with white paw prints, an adjustable click buckle, a small bell and the chip tag in a snap-on holder. It is available as a 1-pack or a 2-pack.

How do I fit and register it?

Snap the chip tag into the holder, fasten the strap so you can fit two fingers between it and your cat's neck, then register the chip with the flap following the flap's instructions.
